Santa Fe Skies – Santa Fe, New Mexico

Santa Fe Skies RV Park
Their “constellation gate” in their sitting area behind the office – Beautiful when the sun shines through it

We had stayed here a number of years ago and got a site that was down the hill and unlevel. This year we made sure to request a level pull thru on top of the hill. We did get a pull thru and we did get on top of the hill but it was a short narrow site next to the office building. It worked out fine as we were hardly ever there.

It is a basic RV park which was mostly full our entire stay (5 days). It has art sculptures throughout the park and very quiet. It is about a 20 minute drive to historic Santa Fe and about 30 minutes or more to Cochiti Lake and Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument. More on those in the next post.

RV Park: Santa Fe Skies
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico (south side)
Site: Wildflower 4 (pull thru) (AKA W4)
Cost: $45
Services: FHU
Comments: A standard, typical RV Park with great views to the surrounding countryside and to Santa Fe. Our short pull thru site was right next to the office/laundry and our patio area was directly next to the electrical boxes. Their WiFi was non existent. It wasn’t just slow, it wasn’t working at all. When we asked the owners about it they said it just stopped working the day before and most of Santa Fe was without internet. When we asked the name of their internet provider they told us they couldn’t remember their name. They did mention that many people had complained that they advertise WiFi but it doesn’t work but their response was it is free and they felt that people are just playing on it anyway so it doesn’t matter. Need I say more.

We still had a fantastic time enjoying the area with the historic area, Canyon Rd., restaurants, and we enjoyed perfect weather for hiking.
