Wahweap Campground – Page, Arizona

Wahweap Campground

This campground is part of the Lake Powell Resort in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Arizona and borders Utah (so every day we would ride our bikes from Arizona to Utah and back again) and Lake Powell. It is a beautiful setting with great views in every direction.

It is a very nice campground which is well maintained with over 100 full hookup sites and great WiFi (at least when we were there in the off-season). I am sure in the peak season their WiFi is at a stand still.

Comments: A  lovely campground with large, level sites over multiple loops with both back-in sites and large pull-thrus.  Some of the sites have excellent views of the lake. We loved it here and were sorry to leave.

Some of the pull thru sites are side by sides with one rig facing one direction and the next rig facing the opposite direction. This means you could be just inches from your neighbor depending on your slide depth. We thought that was a bit close so we were happy with our back in site.

The campground is across the street from the Boat Launch, Day Use, Marina (boat rentals – kayaks, power boats, houseboats, etc.), and there is a nice trail for walking or bike riding along the lake.

We had fabulous weather, a great site, a fun time, and would definitely return.

  1. We love the C Loop and have a special site at the high point in the corner. It gives a great view of front and side of Lake Powell and no one beside us. We’ve lucked out both times we were there and got this site. We’re headed back in early April. Looks like you were quite comfy:)

    1. We agree. Loop C looked terrific but unfortunately it was closed (as were many of the other loops) while we were there. But we did ride our bicycles through all the loops and thought Loop C had the widest sites with the best views.
