City of Rocks Visitor Center Idaho

Castle Rocks State Park is located in southern Idaho near the quaint town of Almo. It is a beautiful drive through northern Utah and onto the quiet, peaceful country roads of southern Idaho.  Almo is only a few miles north of the Utah border as the crow flies.   Almo has a population of about 150 people and sits along …

Sundance Utah

Utah Lake State Park has been on our list for visiting for years but it seems we just never made it there. Plus some of the reviews I had read didn’t sound so great so we always put it off. Boy, are we sorry. We finally stayed here for 3 or 4 days and absolutely loved it. We wished we …

Sand Hollow State Park - Site 18

We departed Kingman and headed on to Nevada. We headed on towards Las Vegas and as usual, took the bypass through Lake Mead National Recreation Area. It is such a beautiful drive and peaceful and much nicer than driving through Vegas.   We continued on through Mesquite and eventually back into Arizona going through the beautiful Virgin River Canyon area …

Nothing, AZ

We have been lying in wait during the pandemic with social distancing and being careful and not traveling in the RV. We have also been waiting to see what has been happening with campgrounds throughout the country before we were to begin any kind of motorhome travel. Of course, our original plans went down the drain but we are used …

Pandemic Hiking

We are social distancing and just enjoying some time to get things done around the house and plan (actually reschedule) our next camping trip. We were planning on spending time in Arizona at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and Canyon de …

Grand Canyon National Park Arizona

It was February 2020, back when we were young and naive and had no idea the craziness of what was about to hit!  (It sounds like the opening to a scary novel!)  We knew about the virus spreading in China but it had not yet hit the US nor were there any lock downs at the time. We had house …

Those Young Guys - Happy New Year

What a fabulous year 2019 turned out to be with getting a new, much smaller, RV to allow us easy travels and adventures all the way to the Maritimes, Newfoundland, across Canada, and back to Arizona! We also squeezed a few other trips in there. Happy New Year to all!

Quartzsite Arizona Plomosa Rd BLM

Seeing as it was December and the big crowds for Quartzsite had not yet arrived we thought Plomosa Rd BLM might have some wide open spaces. So we moved out of Hi Jolly BLM and went over to Plomosa BLM and scouted out a site with tons of room. YAY! We drove east on Plomosa Rd all the way to …

Quartzsite Arizona

We headed to Quartzsite for a short stay on our way home from Borrego Springs.  Even though we were just there recently we still wanted to stop and enjoy a few days of boondocking and have a bit of time to enjoy the town.   We decided to stay a night or 2 at Hi Jolly BLM since we wanted …
