Sand Hollow State Park - Site 18

We departed Kingman and headed on to Nevada. We headed on towards Las Vegas and as usual, took the bypass through Lake Mead National Recreation Area. It is such a beautiful drive and peaceful and much nicer than driving through Vegas.   We continued on through Mesquite and eventually back into Arizona going through the beautiful Virgin River Canyon area …

Nothing, AZ

We have been lying in wait during the pandemic with social distancing and being careful and not traveling in the RV. We have also been waiting to see what has been happening with campgrounds throughout the country before we were to begin any kind of motorhome travel. We are social distancing and just enjoying some time to get things done around the house and plan (actually reschedule) our next camping trip. Hi Jolly BLM Quartzsite Arizona

Welcome to Hi Jolly BLM! We have stayed in Quartzsite a number of times before but never in December. What a great time to be there.  The crowds are so much less than in January, February, and March. Wow, what a difference. Information about Hi Jolly BLM can be found at one of our previous posts.   Campground: Hi Jolly …

Arizona Sunset Crater NM Bonito Campground

We left Panguitch and headed south on Highway 89 passing spectacular scenery on our way to Kanab. There are places that are reminiscent of Bryce Canyon, probably because it is in the same area.   It wasn’t long before we were in Kanab known at the Greatest Earth on Show!   Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument sits in southern Utah and …
