Fort Stevens State Park – Astoria, Oregon

Campground: Fort Stevens State Park
Location: Astoria, Oregon
Site: 258
Cost: $18
Services: W/E
Comments: We love this park and continue to return, over and over again. Lots of hiking and biking both on trails and on the beach. Great history, museum, fort, bunkers, batteries, shipwrecks, etc.  You can watch the Columbia River pilots heading out to the ships by helicopter and you can also view the big ships coming into the Columbia River. A wealth of activity lies within the state park, it is large, and very scenic. You can also drive on the beach and have campfires on the beach which you can’t do in the state of Washington.
