Christmas Circle – Borrego Springs, California

We love Borrego Springs! Not only do we love the boon docking, the hiking and off-roading and birding opportunities that Anza Borrego State Park offers but we love the town of Borrego. Cute, quaint, and charming.

I thought I would do a series of posts of life around town in Borrego Springs. This is the first of the series and will focus on Christmas Circle.

At the center of town is Christmas Circle, an actual roundabout with the Christmas Circle Community Park in the center. The park is host to a variety of town events including a weekly Farmer’s Market. The circle is thought to have derived its’ name from the birth of Salvador Ignacio Linares in Coyote Canyon on Christmas Eve in 1775.

There is never a lack of things to do around the Circle. Besides the weekly Farmer’s Market, there are a few restaurants, some second hand stores, a new art gallery, a bike rental business, and a bank either right on the circle or directly off the circle. Love small towns!
