Countryside RV Park – Dillon, Montana

Here we go, it’s that time! We usually head south just before Christmas but over the years we have tired of battling snow, wind, rain, ice, sleet, etc. So, after putting our heads together and thinking how to solve this problem we decided….drum roll please…to leave earlier!!  And are we glad we did.  We had a beautiful, warm, day with no precipitation and no wind. We could not be happier!!  We love not driving on ice and battling heavy winds in a big rig.

We headed east on I-90 through Montana and had a wonderful, pleasant, serene day.

We decided to stop early since we left so early in the morning and we had a long day. We stopped in Dillon, Montana at one of the several RV parks in the area. We choose Countryside RV Park for easy on/easy off access. A nice, quaint quiet park with nice sized pull thru sites and great views of the mountains. And wow, we had beautiful, warm weather upon arrival.  It is supposed to stay “just” above freezing tonight which it hasn’t done all week here in Dillon. A low of only 33 F, we will take it.  How nice is it to not have freezing temperatures?  It is really nice.

RV Park: Countryside RV Park
Location: Dillon, Montana
Site: C8
Cost: $37.50
Services: FHU
Comments: Sites a bit close together but for an overnight, no problem, as they were laid out such that you could not see your next door neighbor. Owners, John and Valerie were extremely nice and welcoming. WiFi was excellent plus they offered free dog biscuits and free Halloween candy! Who could ask for anything more?
