Glacier National Park – Two Medicine Campground – Montana

Two Medicine is a region of Glacier National Park which is in the southeastern portion of the park. The area has its own park entrance, a campground, two lakes, and a number of hiking trails.  This area used to be one of the most popular areas of the park before the “Going To The Sun” Road was completed in 1932. It is also considered one of the most sacred areas to some of the North American tribes.

Even though we are on the motorcycle, we can’t resist any chance to check out a campground for a potential future visit so we decided to take a tour.  After we turned into the campground we stopped at the shore of the lake and the registration station.

There are over 100 campsites with about 10 or so which can accommodate large rigs.  It is all dry camping and there’s a dump station at the campground.

The nice thing about this campground is it is away from the main area of the park therefore feels less congested.  For us, it would be a perfect stopover for a few nights of camping and hiking if we were heading on to the east side of Glacier National Park.
