We headed into Lake Havasu City from the south on Hwy 95 with a great view of the lake from the road and on to the state park which is just north of London Bridge.

Lake Havasu State Park is within about a ten minute walk to London Bridge which crosses the Bridgewater Channel. It is a nice walk into town for strolling along the water way, checking out the many restaurants and stores, and even hopping on the Havasu Landing boat to make the short journey across the lake to California for only $2 round trip.

Across the London Bridge is the Island which has a 3.5 mile biking and hiking trail which is perfect for spending the day exploring the island. There are a variety of lighthouses on the island along with private houses and resorts and a few 4WD dirt trails.

We rang in the New Year at a restaurant overlooking London Bridge and enjoyed the lovely Christmas lights around town and the ice skating rink.
