Sand Hollow State Park – Hurricane, Utah

Sand Hollow State Park Hurricane Utah
Entrance to Sand Hollow State Park

Westside Campground at Sand Hollow State Park in southern Utah is one of our favorite campgrounds. We like the spaciousness and privacy of the sites and we love the views.  The campground has easy access to Hurricane, Washington City, St George, and hundreds of hiking trails. The only negative would be the road noise in the late afternoon if you are sitting outside. Otherwise, we love this place.

Comments: A lovely, peaceful campground with spacious sites and outstanding views. We even found some free WiFi available in the campground which sometimes was terrific and other times you could not stay connected.

We had absolutely fabulous weather the week we were visiting which made it perfect for hiking and also perfect for morning and evening campfires.  Along with the beautiful sunrises and sunsets it could not have been any better.

Other sites in the campground vary from back-ins to pull-thrus. Some are a bit unlevel and some sites are shorter than others. But the majority of sites are long enough for a bit rig and have nice outdoor sitting areas.

The state park has a reservoir within walking distance of the campground along with several beaches for day use.

And should you want to venture to Zion National Park for the day then the entrance to the park is about a 45 minute drive from this campground.
