Wye, Montana – Wheat and Buddhas

As we were heading towards Flathead Lake in Montana, we exited off I-90 at Wye to fuel up AND to stop at Wheat Montana. No problem getting in, no line, and excellent service. We bought some bread, some pastries, and some sandwiches. Absolutely delicious. We love Wheat Montana.

Next stop was “Garden of One Thousand Buddhas” which is about 20 minutes north of Wheat Montana. Not only is it a lovely garden but it was also a perfect spot to stop and enjoy our Wheat Montana lunch.

This garden is a spiritual site just north of Arlee, Montana within the Flathead Reservation. It’s official name is “The Ewam Sang-ngag Ling Garden of One Thousand Buddhas” and was created by Gochen Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche, a Tibetan master. The garden is open to the public, is free, and a beautiful peaceful place to gain some solitude and spirituality. They accept donations and have a nice gift shop. It was well worth the stop.

After a beautiful afternoon we headed north to Flathead Lake and on to Lake Mary Ronan Lodge!

Next post is all about the absolute paradise called “The Lodge and Resort at Lake Mary Ronan”.
