Polson KOA – Polson, Montana

Where to stay, where to stay? It is coming up to Labor Day weekend and sites are extremely difficult to get. We had stayed at Polson Motorcoach Resort previously and really enjoyed it but unfortunately they only allow Class A motorhomes. We tried and tried various national forest campgrounds, state parks, and RV parks in western Montana and Northern Idaho with no luck (and this was months before Labor Day). We finally found a cancellation for a few nights at the Polson / Flathead KOA which is right next to the Polson Motorcoach Resort so we booked it. But we still did not have anywhere to stay for the 3 nights over Labor Day weekend. We thought we would just figure it out on the road. Eventually, a week or 2 before Labor Day a site became available at the same KOA so now we had 2 reservations back to back for 5 nights. KOA accommodated us nicely and kept us in the same site for all 5 nights but we did have to downgrade from a deck site. Oh well.

The KOA Registration also handles the Polson Motorcoach Resort and offers amenities for them to use also (pool, laundry, pancake breakfast, etc.). As usual with KOA’s they have a nice office/store with various non-essential supplies and essential supplies!!!

RV Park: Polson KOA
Location: Polson, Montana (Flathead Lake – southwest side)
Site: 8 (pull thru)
Cost: $71.92
Services: FHU
Comments: A typical KOA RV park with some good views of Flathead Lake depending on your site. It is nice and peaceful and is a few minute drive to Polson. We had a nice end site at the top of the hill with a big empty meadow behind us. The park was full over Labor Day weekend but still nice and quiet.

The KOA has a number of amenities from miniature golf, a swimming pool, laundry (which we took advantage of), and a great sitting area with a view of the lake.

The Polson Motorcoach Resort is attached to the KOA and it is signed to ensure no one gets confused but I still think people get confused on which way to go and what is what. Anyway, the Resort is a lovely RV park and if you get a chance to stay there in your Class A, do it!!

We had a lovely time in Polson and at the KOA. We would stay there again!
