Town & Country RV Park – Roswell, New Mexico

Welcome to Roswell, “Alien Country”. Roswell is the 5th largest city in New Mexico with a population of around 50,000 people (and maybe a few aliens). It is famous for an incident that occurred in 1947 which consisted of the recovery of crash debris which many thought was a UFO. There are many conspiracy theories about the incident and now the city is full of UFO Museums, UFOs, spaceships, aliens, etc.

The Town & Country RV Park is located about 3 miles south of the center of Roswell right off Main St.

Comments: A nice, clean RV Park with both seasonal/full-time and overnighters. The short stay sites are in the back in a new extended section that is nice, wide, level, and perfectly adequate for a night or two.

The UFO Museum is well worth a visit. On one of our previous visits we spent a few hours touring the museum which is full of lots of documents and paraphernalia detailing the crash incident along with a number of signed letters/affadavits from witnesses including military personnel who were on-site. The town has alien graphics on almost every business.

Roswell is a lovely city with a number of attractions along with the Bottomless Lake State Park about 12 miles away and the Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge which is located a few miles north of town on the Pecos River. Always a pleasure to stop here.
