Rock Springs KOA – Rock Springs, Wyoming

We are back in Wyoming after many, many trips back and forth between Utah and Wyoming due to camping right on the border!

As much as we dislike RV parks and we much prefer to stay in campgrounds we still use them for convenience. An accessible campsite to spend a few nights is greatly appreciated after long times of travel.  The RV parks can also provide easy access to other amenities that might be needed after traveling for a time. So here we are in Rock Springs staying at a KOA.

RV Park: Rock Springs KOA
Location: Rock Springs, Wyoming
Site: 71 (pull thru)
Cost: $47.73 (includes tax)
Services: FHU (50 AMP)
Comments: A typical RV Park which is well maintained, level sites, and easily accessible off I-80.  It is also just down the Frontage Rd from Rock Springs for convenience. We ordered a new RV air filter from NAPA a week earlier and headed into town to pick it up. Norm installed it and we are running with a new clean filter. YAY!

The sites are all pretty similar and the roads are wide and the park is easy to navigate. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Even though the park is just off I-80 and close to the railroad tracks it is far enough away to not have loud noise at night. The trains are just background white noise!
