We headed south on Hwy 36 just east of Forestburg (on Hwy 53) to make our way to Milk River. The road and the drive were lovely and represented some wonderful Alberta prairies scenery. It took us through the Brooks area and Taber (don’t forget to get some corn). Further south of Taber was the Chin Lakes Campground along the …

We have stayed at Joshua Tree National Park in the northwest corner at Black Rock Campground and thoroughly enjoyed the area. We explored the central area of the park also but never got down to the southern area. So we decided to go to Cottonwood. And they said it could not be done. Yep,we did it!  We put a 40′ …

This RV Park/campground is a Mojave County park with both an RV Park area and North and South Beach camping areas. We are usually more interested in camping areas than …

Wow, we love this park. Neat, clean, huge, spacious sites, lots of privacy, and a great cell signal with strong data. Big Bend is the newest Nevada State Park and has 24 large, level sites with full hookups added in 2009. And it shows it. Welcome to Big Bend (not to be confused with Texas’ Big Bend National Park)!   …

Valley of Fire State Park - Arch Rock Campground

Another beautiful campground at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada is Arch Rock Campground.  It is right next to Atlatl Campground (actually around the corner from Atlatl Rock), has 29 sites, some large, some small, some uneven, and the entire campground is a bit more primitive than Atlatl.  All sites are dry camping and there are no showers but …

Valley of Fire State Park - Atlatl Campground - Site 24

We’re back. We just can’t seem to stay away from this place. We are usually here in December but never in November so we weren’t sure how crowded it would be. We know in the spring the campgrounds, both Atlatl and Arch Rock fill up quickly. In the winter months we have found that the Arch Rock Campground was …

Zion National Park - Watchman Campground

Zion National Park has two campgrounds for RVs, both located by the South Entrance Visitor Center. Only the Watchman Campground accepts reservations and if you don’t have a reservation then don’t plan on getting a site. …
