Wine Ridge RV Resort – Pahrump, Nevada

On to Pahrump! Pahrump is a town of close to 40,000 people in Nevada close to the California border. It is about 60 miles west of Las Vegas and sits in the Mojave Desert. A bit of trivia is that Pahrump was the location of the 1996 movie “Mars Attacks” about Martians who land in Pahrump and come in peace and then kill everyone. Hmmm….. That is just a small part of the trivia, there’s quite a bit more that you can read about. The town has a large variety of RV parks and campgrounds and 2 legal brothels. Perfect!

Welcome to Wine Ridge Resort. This resort sits on the southern edge of Pahrump next to the Spring Mountain National Recreation Area with great views of Mt Charleston (11,900 ft). It offers RV sites and cottages along with a full set of amenities.

Comments: A nice RV park with terrific views and lots of amenities. Our site was on Chardonnay and had a terrific view of Mt Charleston. It was an end site and a premium site with a fenced area. There were only a few sites like this in the park and we quite liked it. Another perfect spot.

The RV parkis very scenic and peaceful. It offers a clubhouse, RV/car wash area, 2 pools, Pickleball courts, horseshoes, lounge area, fitness center, billiards room, and more. It appeared to be the kind of place where people would spend the winter. We were quickly asked by other RVers to join the group of Pickleball players in the morning. Everyone seemed very friendly and accommodating. The Clubhouse was very nice and modern and every area we looked at was nicely maintained.

The Pahrump Valley Winery is directly next to the Wine Ridge Resort Clubhouse. How great is that? You can stroll around the vineyards and/or dine at the lovely Symphony’s restaurant which offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also host a Stompapalooza in November which includes grape stomping and festival.

We really enjoyed Pahrump and did not spend nearly enough time there. I guess this means we have to return one day!
