Bonito Campground – Coconino National Park – Arizona

We’re back!! Yes, heading to Bonito from Hatch, Utah. We drove south on Hwy 89 to Kanab, The Greatest Earth on Show. I still love that sign.

Then we headed east, continuing on Hwy 89, through Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, which is one of our favorite places. There is a Visitor Center in Big Water, Utah that is a perfect spot for lunch. There are a few covered picnic tables around back where motorhomes (or any other vehicle) can park and take a break. Even if the Center isn’t open you can still park back there. If the Center is open stop in and check it out. Nomad Yurts is located right by the picnic areas so you can check out the yurts should you want to glamp.

Then we were back in Arizona with a lovely drive through Page, crossing over the Colorado River at the Glen Canyon Dam Bridge.

A few hours later and we were at Bonito Campground which is located next to the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.
