Our next destination was Mount Rainier National Park with a one night stopover at a national forest campground along the Naches River. A few weeks earlier we had received an email from Recreation.gov notifying us that our reservation was cancelled with a full refund due to the campground being closed.

Farragut State Park is about 40 minutes north of Coeur d’Alene and is one of our favorite state parks. Since we used to live in this area we are very familiar with the park and have not only stayed here many times before but have hiked every trail multiple times.

As we were heading towards Flathead Lake in Montana, we exited off I-90 at Wye to fuel up AND to stop at Wheat Montana. No problem getting in, no line, and excellent service. We bought some bread, some pastries, and some sandwiches. Absolutely delicious. We love Wheat Montana. Next stop
