Sky Art Collection in the Desert – Borrego Springs, California

This is a tribute to the artist and welder Ricardo Breceda and Galleta Meadows landowner Dennis Avery and the wonderful “Sky Art Collection”. Over 130 metal sculptures dot the landscape in Borrego Springs and the Galleta Meadows area.  The sculptures represent creatures that lived in this area millions of years ago and today provide locals and tourists an eye-popping display of desert art. Over the years we have walked through the sculptures, ridden our bicycles, driven our car, and even taken the motorcycle to visit these magnificent pieces of art and history. No matter how much time we spend it seems like we will never see all of them, but we keep trying. Thank you Mr. Breceda for your wonderful art work and thank you Mr. Avery for providing land for us to access and admire this art.
