Idaho Falls Luxury RV Park – Idaho Falls, Idaho

We headed south on I-15 from Helena, Montana and on to Butte, Montana. There is a nice viewpoint area along I-15 which provides a nice view of the city along with an interpretive sign. We continued on south towards Dillon after a short stop.

Just south of Dillon is one of our favorite camping spots, Clark Canyon Reservoir. It is a free camping area with multiple places to camp along the reservoir with no registration required. We stopped in a site for a lunch break before we continued on to Idaho.

After crossing Monida Pass we entered Idaho and it wasn’t long before we got to Idaho Falls for an overnight stop.

We have tried a variety of camping areas in southern Idaho and we have not been pleased with any of them. We are always on the lookout for different places. We found a new RV Park called Idaho Falls Luxury RV Park so we thought we would try it out. We ended up liking it quite a bit although it was a bit on the expensive side.

The office/registration building was lovely and the customer service was impeccable.

We got a pull thru site so we wouldn’t have to unhook our tow vehicle since we were only there one night. It was a nice site and conveniently located in the park right near the office.

RV Park: Idaho Falls Luxury RV Park
Location: Idaho Falls, Idaho (along the Snake River)
Site: 29 (pull thru)
Cost: $106.92
Services: FHU
Comments: A beautiful park, nicely maintained, right in town, and close to everything. We would stay here again.

The RV Park offers 49 full hookup sites which are either pull thru or back-in sites and they also have 10 casita sites they call SprinterLand. They include charcoal barbecues, outdoor ceiling heaters, Adirondack chairs and party lights. All those sites were back-in.

The RV park has pickleball courts, a dog park, a laundromat, private bathrooms, bike rentals, a lodge with a fireplace, and a community outdoor fireplace. The park is enclosed with security gates and is located less than 2 miles from historic downtown Idaho Falls.

Greenbelt Loop Trail

The Greenbelt Loop Trail is an almost 11 mile paved bike/hike path along the Snake River in Idaho Falls. Access to the trail is directly from the RV Park.

South Tourist Park

The South Tourist Park camping area is directly to the north of the Idaho Falls Luxury RV Park where we were staying. It looks like a lovely camping area along the Snake River that we may try next time we are in town.

The first area in the campground we came upon when walking the Greenbelt Loop path was site 11. It is basically right along the river with nice views.

Site 8 was the next site we walked past, again right along the river.

The campground has a boat launch and RV dump station and the loop trail goes right through the park.

South Capital Park – Memorial Park

The South Capital Park and Idaho Falls Memorial Park are situated next to each other along the Snake River. South Capital Park offers picnic tables, a basketball court, and a horseshoe pit wheres the Memorial Park has a memorial plaza honoring fallen firefighters. And just next to the park is the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho.

Japanese Friendship Garden

Further north along the loop path is the Japanese Friendship Garden. This garden contains a traditional Japanese garden gate along with a viewing platform of the falls including many water features. There is a pagoda and multiple paths to meander around the garden. It is a beautiful place.

We had a lovely walk through the gardens and then back along the river stopping to admire the scenery.

The RV park was a lovely place to spend the day.
